About the Event
Several years ago, the NZ Cessna 180/185 Group held a fly-in to Masterton to mark the 50th anniversary of the C185. A SkyWagon Census was held to coincide with the event. 26 May 2022 marks the 70th birthday of the Cessna 180 and we have decided to hold special birthday party to mark this occasion.
Over the intervening years, there have been significant changes to the NZ SkyWagon fleet. Because of this, we are planning another SkyWagon census for the weekend. It is important to remember that the C180 was the parent of the C185 and as such, it would be impossible to hold a C180 birthday without its 185 progenies.
We are hoping that every C180 and C185 in New Zealand will attend the event and for all owners, past owners, past flyers (plus one’s families) of this iconic aircraft to register. A steering committee consisting of myself, Nigel…
